On April 29th, LBX Immersive participated in the 2021 VR/AR Association Education online forum. This forum brought together over 70 schools, colleges, universities, and 500+ academics and executives who are leading VR/AR in EdTech! We were joined by James MacDiarmid, BDM, Education at Curiious, and Katie Kirby, Assistant Principal at Union City High School (NJ, USA), to present on the effectiveness of using VR to deliver Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) education during the pandemic and beyond.
Union City High School had been seeking a SEL learning program to serve their student body when they discovered Wise: Emotional Fitness. Created by Curiious: Immersive Impact, Wise is an immersive SEL learning program presented through virtual reality and designed to be delivered to students and faculty alike.
As the North American reseller of this program, LBX Immersive, was able to leverage our VR headset rental/leasing solutions to provide an affordable way for teachers at Union City High School to access this amazing content. During the pandemic, we worked with Curiious to support Assistant Principal Kirby as she trained her school’s teachers, using the Wise Educator’s Guide, and prepared them to implement the program with students when they returned to campus
We were excited to share the success story of our partnership with Curiious and Union City High School with the academic attendees interested in solutions for providing faculty and students returning to the classroom with much-needed emotional support. If you missed our presentation, don’t worry! Watch the full video recording above.
